Some time ago a friend of mine complained about a file of 1 GB on his hard disk that he couldn't put on a cd-r because of its size. Zipping didn't help and his disk grew fuller and fuller.
Here's a little tool to help him out. It allows slicing any file into pieces
of any size and joining them again. It's available for Windows in German and
English.
There are two Linux versions, one is threaded and one is not.
They both work, but need testing. I'm not too much into the Qt-libraries,
and the documentation says that Qt-threading is experimental. Any help or
suggestions are appreciated.
